The Electric Blues Course
NOT AVAILABLE YET
The Electric Blues Course will take you from almost complete beginner to intermediate level or beyond in the blues style.
You’ll learn basic rhythm playing, then more embellished rhythm playing, and you’ll learn basic soloing, then more advanced soloing ideas. And you’ll learn how to play in all the important blues styles.
Each lesson will include a lesson video and any tabs or jam tracks that you need for that lesson.

Hello. I found your channel this evening on YouTube. Many thanks for making available the videos that are there. I was watching the fourth lesson of the first module of your electric blues course and I thought I would download the materials. When I clicked on the link below the screen (this link):
Click here to be taken to the website where you can download the accompanying materials:
https://www.jerrysguitarbar.com/guita…
It brought me here but I don’t see them. Are the written materials available for purchase?
Thanks in advance for your response.

Jerry says
Hi John
Sorry about that.
I’ve taken down that module because I plan to re-make the blues course from scratch.
Those videos were amongst the earliest I did and the sound was very echoey.
It’ll take a while to do it but I’ll announce the new full course when it’s available.

Hi Mark
This page is an introduction to blues guitar for beginners. It’s free and it’s not the same course I made for Mike Herberts.
Mike may still have that course available if you ask him.

Very wonderful instructional videos. I have steered my friends to your tips and tricks. Your excellent chord fragment instruction gave me an ah ha moment on the triads, minors, and 7ths on the bottom three strings. I have been working on learning the notes and chord roots/3rds/5ths/7ths and inversions, your video brought it all together. There is no doubt it takes time, patient work and practice. Learning the notes on the fret board cold is hard but when you attack it from lots of directions like also learning triads, inversions, minors and 7ths it starts to jell. I have watched lots of instruction on Travis Picking most of them made it seem impossibly difficult. Yours broke it down to a simple logical progression that one can incorporate into daily practice. Keep up the excellent instruction.
Jerry says
That’s great to hear Ross.
I’m very happy to hear that the chord fragment series was useful. That’s exactly what I’d hoped for!
All the best

Just purchased the Eric Clapton “Ramblin’ On My Mind” and Joni Mitchell “Roses Blue” lessons. The exactness of the tablature, augmented by your superb video tutorials have renewed my passion and confidence that I have the ability to play up to a much higher level than previously achieved. The key is having a teacher who has a global knowledge of theory, in combination with virtuosity on the guitar, and one who has applied that necessary perspiration comprising 98% of genius to “crack the code” of many great artists’ finest performances. Over the years, I have paid numerous teachers handsomely to acquire snippets of what you deliver fully for a most reasonable fee, and using media and formats that work flawlessly to inform the process. Most appreciative, Jerry!

Hi I’m 65 and I have not played for about 26 years and I wasn’t very good then lol. But I have decided to get the guitar out again a few weeks ago and start again. You are a very good teacher and I am learning Me And Julio from your vid and I am trying to master the intro.
I am really going to keep at the guitar this time thanks to you..
Regards..

An “old guy” returning to some great fun with music again….your lessons (and those of Mike H’s) have been a delight! Can’t thank you enough….now, if you have any tricks to get 60+ year old fingers to move like they did when I was 20, please share them. :)
