I have been a huge Al Stewart fan since 1974. I have just taken up the guitar but my goal when learning the guitar was to eventually be able to play a lot of Al’s material. As a beginner, am I in over my head to try and learn Al’s material so early in my learning.
I’ve seen your intros for a few of the songs and you really do spell it out in simplistic terms but I want to make sure I’m not in over my head.
Please advise.
Thanks..Kevin

Hi Kevin
Some are easier than others. I would start with Life and Life Only, the strummed part of On The Border, and move on to Roads to Moscow.

When will you have more Gordon Lightfoot songs up for purchase?

The next one on the list looks to be about a year away.

Just got through the bridge on Still Crazy…Now for the fingerpicking interlude-as an alternative to the sax. Can’t wait!

I have a request! Almost Lucy from Time Passages. Think it would work well on a guitar-my two cents worth. t may already be on your list!

Yep, that one’s on there somewhere. Good song!
