“Ventura Highway” another Dewey Bunnell song is sort of like A Horse With No Name-very few chords repeated a lot-but a cute signature lick which I stumbled upon. Wonder what you’d make of it… I wish we could jam!

That one is on the to-do list – number 412. Lonely People is coming up in a couple of months

Love Lonely People! It seemed straight forward enough-but I will definitely buy your version-it’s a small price to pay to encourage you to keep it up!! And I’m sure I will get something useful from it anyway. I’m 58 and all this music takes me back to when I was 17-24. I had already heard it in India where I grew up, but have been living in the US since 1978 when I was 17!! I did learn some simple chords in India to play songs by the Beatles, and then mucked about with song books wearing out cassette tapes to figure out how to play songs. JT’s Something in the Way she Moves took a lot of effort-the slide at the opening…But then I abandoned the guitar for many years, only to pick it up a again a few years ago-and it has made me so happy!! I mainly play for myself-the wife gets irritated so I have to find a room alone to mess around on the guitar. But your videos definitely helped enormously!

Thanks Ashvin. You picked a great place to start. Paul Simon’s playing is some of the best.

Thanks Jerry. Am visiting Germany for a month-and the download speeds are really slow. SO will have to wait to get back to the US to buy more stuff. It’s great having your instruction-you re incredibly patient with your lessons! I will definitely be getting all your America stuff in July when I get back to the US.

Jerry, Your lessons are awesome. I just learned Overs by S&G, and am struggling with Still Crazy–. Am at the bridge (“4 in the morning..”), there’s an instrumental and the final verse on a different key which seem bery daunting, but I am hanging in!!. I am SO grateful for the guitar arrangement-the song itself is played on some sort of electronic piano or something-but your chords work really well. Have been working through a lot of S&G over the last few years on my own (Scarborough Fair-capo up at the 7th fret! April Come She Will, Kathy’s Song Homeward Bound, America,..) So if you do more S&G lessons, I will buy them-and can learn from you where I have fallen short! Bought a lot of your lessons already-and will probably go wild on your JT lessons! I am pretty obsessive and can only work on one artist at a time. So am sort of stuck on S&G and Paul Simon for now. I am really impressed by your range though! Thank You!!
