David Crosby Guitar Lessons

Learn how to play the songs by David Crosby note-for-note on guitar with the David Crosby Guitar Lessons. Each lesson includes the playthru, video lesson, songsheet with chords and tab.
Coming out of The Byrds, Crosby almost immediately began creating music with Stephen Stills. When they were joined by Graham Nash, they knew the resullting three-part harmony was something very special.
But Crosby is a wonderful harmony singer in his own right, and the solo album If I Could Only Remember My Name shows off his talents as well as anything he made with his band mates.
Much of the material from this collection is drawn from that album and it reflects David’s musical sensibilities better than almost anything else. Full of hypnotic repetitive vamps, jazz-like in their sound, and layered over with vocals by one of the great voices of his generation, it’s a bona-fide masterpiece.
It’s not easy to find lessons teaching the authentic tunings and unusual chord shapes he uses. I hope that this collection fits a bit of a gap and gets you deep into the musical world of the great David Crosby.
Click on any of the song titles to see a clip from the start of the lesson. (The free one you can download in its entirety.)
You’ll receive at least two videos per song, one lesson and one performance-standard play-through. You’ll also receive the chords/lyrics and guitar tabs as PDF files.
The videos are mp4 format and should play on PC’s, Macs and most mobile devices.
They will download as Zip files. If you don’t have a Zip program on your PC you’ll need to install one to open the file. .

Hi Jerry –
Really great site. I am looking forward to working through the tabs. I’d really appreciate it if you would work out the tablature for “Things We Do For Love”. That album means a lot to me as does all of David’s work.

Hi Jerry,
After the sad new, have you thought about adding songs of David Crosby and the Lighouse Band like Things We Do For Love, Look In Their Eyes… Or some others of his last albums. Thanks
Gilles

Yes, very sad to lose David Crosby. A legend.
I’ll leave it a while but hopefully take a look at some of his newer music in the future.
