Incidentally your advice for Gmaj7th worked perfectly. Once I got the first three fingers right, the pinky just “fell into place”! A really useful bit of advice.
ashvin rajan says
Straight forward Jerry. But SO much fun. I can’t get enough of those maj7th chords..

Hey Jerry!
Have been “playing” a version of Ventura Highway. I looked up the chords on ultimate guitar-and they were pretty simple. Another Dewey Bunnell song in the album has very few chord changes (A Horse With No Name). But the intro to Ventura Highway is very cute. I stumbled through a working version. But am sure you can do much more with it! The song leads directly to Don’t Cross the River-and I used to listen to this album so often that these songs roll through the order they appeared in in my head!! Anyway lessons on both would be much appreciated. Can’t wait to get started on Tin Man!!
Jerry says
Hi Ashvin.
I’ll be doing both of those two songs, but not together I’m afraid.
ashvin rajan says
No worries!! I wasn’t expecting them together. They just run together in my mind. But obviously I am looking forward to them!! You have so many songs on your hands!! I wonder how you pull it off…
ashvin rajan says
Didn’t George Martin produce that album? He was amazing. I think he also did Year of the Cat? Anyway this is not pertinent to songs here. Apologies.
Jerry says
George Martin did indeed produce those America albums. Alan Parsons was the producer of Year of the Cat.

Interesting! I really liked some of his music! I think Eye in the Sky? A really pretty song!
