Jerry, thank you for all your work. Learning how to play the songs you grew up with, playing like the artists who wrote them, yes, thank you 1000 times over. I feel like a jack### to send errata but wanted to say that Laugh should be love – what it’s of. Spent in the tab is had, which is right in the song sheet. Also if, which is so easy to play, thank you, is poor yourself (for) me. Never realized the poetry growing up. Again thanks, have a couple more I want to grab before I go.
Jerry says
Thanks Ron
I’m still not sure about ‘poor’ yourself. In the context of life running dry, doesn’t ‘pour’ yourself make more sense?
Ron says
Jerry, yes. it is for sure. But not On me, but For me. Pour yourself for me. It’s all to funny really. I’m not the poet but listen to the song over and over to learn to match it, you know, and he says pour yourself (for me). I think on the sheet you got (on me). I knew i’d feel like a jack###. Jerry, thanks for putting all this out there. I really love to play all these songs. Thanks for saying something to me. Where you get the time.
Jerry says
Definitely no need to feel like a jackass. I appreciate the feedback.
Wade says
Hi Jerry…you have a great site and I plan to purchase some songs…..I wanted to download and try a few free songs to see what the lessons are like but I can’t seem to download them. You have many great songs I want (some free) and many purchases Basically what I need is the tab, video and chords
Jerry says
Hi Wade
Email me at [email protected] so we can sort this out.
If you’re on a PC or Mac it’s as simple as click the link and it downloads. It may not tell you it’s downloaded so check your PC’s default download folders to see itf it is in fact in there.
If you’re on an iPad or iPhone you may need an app. Email me and we’ll figure it out.

Thanks so much for this free lesson, Jerry. A joy to learn this well-structured song; just loving the bridge! And the lyrics are so meaningful, for we can all relate to the loss of our loved ones.
Ian says
Thank you for all you material – it is very much appreciated.
Would it be possible for the chord shapes (which you actually use in the video) to be included on the song sheet?
Wayne Hartzell says
I am a newbee Jerry, LOL. I am actually a clarinetist, been playing for 30 years a jazz accompaniment but mainly play by ear. But I have been thinking of learning guitar for the past year or so to play some great songs I grew up listening to in the late 70s when I grew up and bought a pyle guitar cheapo on ebay that I have had for about 2 weeks.
I’ve been watching your indepth instruction on BREAD “Everything I own” and I have maybe 50% of the verse chours down, I sound terrible but watching your fingering I am able to see which fingers to use. Thank you for providing invaluable service to all wanna be guitarists.

Thank you Jerry,
You have resolved forty years of frustration for me. I took lessons through the years and got virtually nothing from them. From having pentatonic scales to Mel Bay’s guitar method forced on me, I just never was able to connect with an instructor. I always thought I would be able to play (adequately) one day, but could never put the pieces together. You have (truly) changed my life. Like the old Head East song said, “If I’m gonna live, I gotta play”. Rest assured, I will be joining the paying customer ranks and it will be the best music money I ever spent. Matt
Jerry says
Thanks Matt. I’m really glad it’s working for you. Keep on having fun with it!

Hi Jerry I am split new to your website after I saw by chance your film on travis picking – I am an old strummer 65 next week and no better than I was at 15 years old – so I know a few chords and songs but never played enough through life to be more than an average turn but your travis picking thing and this website is making me keen in my old age to become a maestro like yourself – or at least improve greatly and play properly with finger picking ompaniment – so I’m taking a few freebies first then will be looking out for more finger pick lessons from you – are you only in dollars ? Cheers Bill
Jerry says
Hi Bill,
Enjoy all the free ones you want. If you do end up plunking down some money, yes it’s in dollars but your Paypal account converts it automatically to your local currency before you press the final buy button so you always know what you’re spending.
Cheers
Jerry

Hi Jerry
I bought all your collections featuring you as instructor from Mike Herberts’ site – especially the Lead Guitar course and Fingerstyle songs collection. You’re an absolutely fantastic instructor Jerry – a natural – and although I have’nt bought anything from your new site, I’m going to get the Bread collection – I’m certain it’s going to be of the same high quality. Keep it coming Jerry !
Regards
Derrick
Jerry says
Thanks Derrick. I’ll keep it coming for sure.
