Jerry, I just noticed that the description above the lesson says the tuning is CCCCGC, but in the video you day the fifth string is tuned down to G.
I was at an open mic one night when a friend was playing, and when he finished his first song and then started cranking on the tuning keys, I was trying to guess what he was going to play next. When he got to the third key, I had a pretty good idea that the song would be “Love the One You’re With,” and I was right. 8-)
Thanks for all your great lessons.

Hi Doug
Stephen uses the tuning CCCCGC so if you want fully authentic that’s the one to use.
I prefer CGCCGC just for ease of tuning.
Either way you play what’s taught in the lesson and the difference is just about impossible for the ear to detect.

Jerry,
Like thousands of others I love the lessons.
On “love the one you’re with” do you have any hints about right hand work beyond the video? I’m having problems even after hours of practice getting anywhere close to your speed. Any hints would be much appreciated.
Thanks
Stu

Hi Stu
Don’t grip the pick tightly. Make sure the wrist is completely loose so that it feels like it’s the hand is flopping off the the end of the arm. Move the arm from the forearm, not the wrist.
Hope that helps

Ah….
Thanks
