Hi Jerry, Any chance you could transcribe Long Monday by John Prine.
Thanks
Mike

It’s on the list Mike

Thanks for continuing to transcribe and teach Donovan’s oeuvre, Jerry. “People Used To” lopes along, setting the tone for such an easy-going album, “Open Road.” Donovan should have kept his musicians: they worked well as a rock trio. Also, the lyrics on “Open Road” are some of the Maestro’s best.

Hi Robert
I think it may have been you who sent me the demo version that I used for this transcription. It’s a great version. If it was you – thanks!
Robert says
I can’t take credit for the demo version that you used, Jerry; however, while we’re on the subject of Donovan, I think that our fellow Donovan fans would appreciate the short video intro that Don provides for “Open Road” [Donovan.ie] [Youtube].
He tells us that he was working on “Open Road” at the same time that McCartney was working on his first solo outing, in the same studio.
Both the Donovan and McCartney albums have an effortless, first-take vibe, belying their genius craftsmanship.
“People used to get together ’round a fire” indeed!
Cheers!
