If I remember I used a live version from Madison Square Garden as the template for this one. I certainly included everything he played in that solo version.

Hi Jerry, Before purchasing your TAB on “Key to the Highway”, I wanted to know if it’s the same TAB from the book, or have you simplified it a bit? I find the book’s version to be a bit hard because every little note is included. Michael

    Hi Jerry
I’ve always loved E.C.s acoustic blues. And this one was pretty much ” The one” I always wanted to learn.
Can report after much practise that I’ve pretty much drilled it into my thick head and the muscle memory has taken over. And can now start to add a bit of finesse to it.
I must be a bit of a masochist because I love the learning stage where you start of with “no bl**dy way am I going to learn this” till eventually (with a bit of luck and practise) you conquer it.

That is fantastic John. I know it’s a cliche for teachers to say this but that really is why we do it. When someone can play a piece they’ve always loved, it brings a smile to my face, because I know that great feeling so well! We’re all musicians at the end of the day.

Hey Mike. This one sounds great when you get it down. I might take a break from Eric for a short while and explore some of the other artists who were popular in the survey, but I’ll definitely come back to him and cover more from that album.

Ooooh, this sounds so good, how cool is it going to be to learn to play this! Jerry you are a ‘Great’ teacher, the patience and quality you impart to your lessons, are giving us ‘hobby’ players a chance to learn to play songs that we might never have attempted.
Any plans to do some more of his ‘Unplugged’ album, maybe a simple version of ‘Signe’ that sounds close to that great intro to the album?
Thanks again, Jerry, very much appreciated,
