WOW Jerry

to my acoustic guitar skills.
Thanks Champ

Hi Jerry,
Thanks for doing more JB. Love him and his music. I just wish he didn’t do so many songs in alternate tuning. He has the luxury of using multiple guitars so he doesn’t have to retune all the time. Retuning is such a pain, that it means I won’t practice playing his songs enough.
Would it be possible or practical to do some lessons of his songs using standard tuning, or would that make his songs unplayable?
Thanks again,
Perry
Jerry says
Hi Perry. I hear you. It can be frustrating when you just have one guitar to be retuning all the time. Unfortunately, although the songs could be played in standard tuning, they wouldn’t capture the style of Jackson Browne or sound like him. And I think people come to JGB to get that authentic sound.
Song For Adam is in standard tuning. So is the free These Days, but you probably have that one already.
Perry says
Hi Jerry,
Yea, I know, it wouldn’t sound quite the same. I do have a second guitar, but it’s setup in double drop D for “For Everyman”
Thanks again,
Perry

This is fantastic! I already have this intro down. I will purchase. I have been requesting Eric Clapton’s “Drifting” but would gladly hold-out for Jackson Browne’s “Lives in the balance” instead.

Thanks, Jerry. I asked you for this one. I will buy it later today when I’m off. Jackson Browne at his best! Another idea: the acoustic version of Looking East. Interesting tuning on that song.
Thanks again
