What about the intro to this song
Jerry says
I used a live version for this lesson where he didn’t play the intro.

I know, but the Iconic Intro tells you what the song is, and flows nicely into the first verse. Would nice to see the Intro on video, but thanks for the tabs to the intro!!!

It is almost like the Beatles recording “And I Love Her,” without the GENIUS INTRO George came up with. The Intro make the song Unique! That is why I am so fond of Intros being included in songs (Leaving On a Jet Plane). George was very good at things like that, but rarely received the credit; especially from his 2 mates, Paul & John…..

Leaving on a Jet Plane is my first Travis style study. It fits nicely with Jerry’s intro to Travis Style video. I’ve been focusing on the bass like Jerry suggests. Learning thumb independence. Playing through all the chords in the Tab. I’m ready now to start filling in between the beats with the finger notes. I never thought I could play fingerstyle, until I found Jerry’s videos. He explains it so well that anyone can learn it. It just takes regular practice.

I didn’t receive an e mail from yesterday ,leaving on a Jet Plane
Jerry says
Hi Charles
Must have been a typo in the email address or something. It’s working fine. We’ve sent it to you by email.

Hi Charles.
To get the email you have to type a valid email address. The first time you typed .comrr and the second time .comrrx and that’s why you didn’t get the email with the link.
Hope this clarify the situation.
Kind regards.

Hi Jerry,
Such a great song and you covered it perfectly in the lesson. One question…the intro for Leaving On a Jet Plane is classic and one of the nicest and most recognizable intros. Any chance of you covering that?
Thx!
Chris
Jerry says
Hi Chris,
I’m planning to re-visit JD at some point to add Country Roads and Rocky Mountain High. I’ll see if I can slip in that studio intro when I get to those two.

Thanks so much for Mr. Bo Jangles. Your explanation is great. I have been searching for a good explanation of this song, without success. many sites are too brief or too advanced. You hit my needs right on.
I really like the way I can download both the explained MP4 and play thru MP4. That is really distinctive. That will bring me back to your site and avoid others that don’t give a play thru.
Regards
Bob
