    In Amelia, shouldn’t the first two chords be Dm, C, rather than Dm, Em?

      Both the first two chords are ambiguous because they only contain two notes.
      The first has the notes D and F. That could be a Dm but it’s followed by a G note so you could view it as G7. But it sounds like the home chord so Dm seems a reasonable assumption.

      The second chord has the notes E and G. That could be interpreted as the root and 3rd of Em as you suggest, or the 3rd and 5th of C, or more obscure possibilities (G6?).
      But the following note is a C, which completes a C major triad and that’s why I called it C.

      But for sure, as always with Joni’s chords, there are several interpretations.

    I am just about to buy it, for a novice like me it will be a true challenge but I
