It can’t be easy to keep up with the tempo of the original recording so flawlessly.
I have been anxiously waiting for this song, although I will probably crucify myself in attempting to play it (“bringing out the hammer, and the boards, and the nails”)
Joni perfectly captures the feel of a fog-laden, chilly, coastal night in (probably) British Columbia. She had had enough of the “star-making machinery behind the popular song” at this point.
