Question re foot tapping (while counting)
Hi Jerry,
In 4/4 time (4 beats per measure) when you’re counting [One] – [e] – [&] – [uh], [Two] – [e] – [&] – [uh], etc. (e.g. intro to “Mrs. Robinson”), how do you tap your foot? Does your foot hit the floor…
(A) …only one time per beat: [One (floor)] – [e (up)] – [& (still up)] – [uh (still up)]? OR
(B) … two times per beat: [One (floor)] – [e (up)] – [& (floor)] – [uh (up)]?
Jerry says
Hi Stan. Tap on the beats. Down on 1, up on and, down on 2 up on and, etc.
