Thanks for the reply. It’s a simple, yet deceptive sing. If you listen to the German version in stereo,it’s more pronounced ,than the UK pressing.
George did all single lead in notes over,or under the chords ,depending on how ons wants to hear it . Admittedly, until I heard the separation in stereo,I played it pretty straight . After listening to the separation of tracks,it changed my entire perspective . I guess it’s a matter of George singing the E note ,over a major chord. Possible,I guess. I’ll have to listen again.
    Best

Ps. If you listen to stereo take, recorded at Pathe in France ( German version ) you’ll hear what I’m writing about. Very stiff playing, but effective ,as was everything they ever recorded .

I really dislike having to call someone out. It’s not my intention. The intro, any key you play it in,gives you much room,to duplicate what they did. George did a lot of single notes on intro etc. but here is one issue that is very wrong. It is not a G major chord ( if played in original key,it’s a G6. That goes with the three part vocal harmony,on the sixth chord. In this case your playing in B,not G,hence it would be a B6 chord. Then the riff. It is not a bend,it’s a slide up a half tone.
This is why I hate lead sheets. They are always wrong, chordally.
Your certainly good enough to pull it off the correct way, maybe just try it. The sixth is on both intro and outro ( last chord ,vocally and instrumentally ) G# is the sixth in your rendition,of course.
    Just a thought …
    Cheers
    Jake

Hi Jake. That 6th is in the vocal harmony but I disagree that it’s in the guitar part. I did include it as the final chord of the song because I think it’s an effective ending.
This is intended to be an arrangement for voice and acoustic guitar. If I ever do the electric version, you can be sure it’ll be an attempt to replicate the original.
