Guitar Lessons with Separate Solos

Here’s a list of the Guitar Lessons with Separate Solos that we have available.
All these lessons have one or more videos teaching the main accompaniment (rhythm) part to the song, and also one or more videos teaching the lead guitar solos from the original recording. These may be either electric or acoustic solos.
The videos are mp4 format and should play on PC’s, Macs and most mobile devices.
They will download as Zip files.
If you want to download to an iPad or iPhone you’ll need an app to do so, please read here to know more about it.

Stephen Stills songs are also good.
Love to see you do these. Thanks

Hi Jerry, I had an idea for you that I had planned for myself but realized it might be more work and require more guitar competence that I currently have. The idea is to create a series of riffs, or melodies based on the Intros of popular songs. For example, first play the Intro to “Animal Instinct”, then follow that immediately with the Intro to “Anna”, then play the Intro to “As Tears Go By”, etc., etc.
On YouTube, there is an example of what I am trying to describe.
This is the example: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VOcABtJTpho&list=RDVOcABtJTpho&start_radio=1&rv=VOcABtJTpho&t=41
If you created something similar using just the songs (intros only) you have on your website, it’d be a great help for learning songs and “introducing” songs to friends and letting them choose what song
they would like to hear. Obviously you have too many songs to put all the Intros into one “song”, but if they were catagorized by, say, singers, then all of the Rolling Stones Intros could be played as one long song.
I hope I explained the idea clearly enough! Alan

Does the lesson for suit Judy blue eyes have the solos?
Jerry says
There’s only really one solo in the song. I don’t teach it note-for-note (every other part of the song is note-for-note). The reason is that Stephen is improvising and I hate to teach improvised solos note-for note. I cover this section by going through the kind of ideas or the framework that he has in his head as he’s improvising, so you can do the same thing.

Would it be possible to create a list of songs that include arrangements of the guitar solos (not seperate). For instance as you’ve done with “Something” & “St James infirmary”..?
Jerry says
I’ll see what I can do Mike. Not sure quite what to call that category.
Mike says
Understood. I’m happy just to forage around and see for myself if it’s not something that can be done easily Jerry…
