Definitions

Usage data is data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the service (for example what product you ordered), or from the service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

Data Processor (or Service Provider) means any person outside Jerry’s Guitar Bar who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller. Jerry’s Guitar Bar has four outside data processors. SiteGround hosts our website; SendInBlue sends our newsletter and Paypal and Stipe process payments for us.

The User is the individual using our service. The User and the Data Subject for the purposes of Jerry’s Guitar Bar are the same.

This information cannot be used to identify specific individuals, and is only used for helping us improve our website and search functionality. No user-specific data is collected by either Jerry’s Guitar Bar or any third party.

Purposes
Jerry’s Guitar Bar uses the collected data for these purposes:

WordPress
We use a third party service, WordPress.org, to publish our products.
We use a standard WordPress service to collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the site, for example the number of users viewing pages on the site, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site and help us improve it. This data doesn’t identify you as an individual.
If you post a comment on Jerry’s Guitar Bar, you have the option to include your name and email address or to post anonymously. If you include your name and email address, we only use this for the purpose of replying to your specific comment.

Retention of data
Jerry’s Guitar Bar will retain your personal data for an indefinite period. This is on order to have a full record of your purchases should you ever need them re-sent.

Analytics
We use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyse the use of our service.
Google analytics is a web analytics service that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data to track and monitor the use of our service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network.
We have requested that Google retain Analytics data related to our site visitors for 14 months from the date of the activity. This is the shortest period of time Google allows.
You can opt out of being visible to Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on. This add-on prevents the Google Analytics Javascript (ga.js, analytics.js and dc.js) from sharing information with Google Analytics about visit activity.

Payments
We provide paid products on Jerry’s Guitar Bar. We use third-party services for payment processing.
We do not store customer credit card details nor do we share customer details with any 3rd parties. When you use a payment card, that information is provided directly to our third-party payment processors whose use of your personal information is governed by their Privacy Policy. These payment processors adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of payment information.
The payment processors we work with exclusively are Paypal and Stripe.
