Jeremy Lamberth (“us”, “we”, or “our”) operates the website www.jerrysguitarbar.com (the “Service”).

Personal data means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data.
Usage data is data collected automatically, either generated by the use of the service (for example what product you ordered), or from the service infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

Data Controller means a person who determines the purposes for which, and the manner in which, personal data are processed.
For Jerry’s Guitar Bar, the Data Controller is the owner, Jeremy Lamberth.
Data Processor (or Service Providers)
Data Processor (or Service Provider) means any person outside Jerry’s Guitar Bar who processes the data on behalf of the Data Controller. Jerry’s Guitar Bar has four outside data processors. SiteGround hosts our website; SendInBlue sends our newsletter and Paypal and Stipe process payments for us.

Data Subject is any living individual who is the subject of Personal Data (anyone whose data is held by Jerry’s Guitar Bar).
The User is the individual using our service. The User and the Data Subject for the purposes of Jerry’s Guitar Bar are the same.
We collect several different types of information for various purposes to provide and improve our service to you.
While using our service, we may ask you to provide us with certain information that would identify you, or allow contact with you (“Personal Data”).
The personal information we always receive and store is:
- Email address
- First and last name
- Cookie and usage data (this is data on how you used the website)
- Your country (we are required to record this in order to accurately submit our VAT returns)

Please note that, even if we receive it, we do nothing with your shipping address or IP address.
If you consent to it, we will use your email address to contact you with a newsletter that may be of interest to you. You may opt out of receiving this communication from us by following the unsubscribe link in any newsletter we send.
The lawful basis under which we use the personal data we collect is given the legal name of “legitimate interest”. It is essential for us to have certain information – email address, name, country for example – in order to process the transaction that you have initiated. In other words, if you buy a product, we must know where to send it.

Search Engine Data
Any search terms that you enter into the Jerry’s Guitar Bar Site Search are anonymously logged. This information cannot be used to identify specific individuals, and is only used for helping us improve our website and search functionality. No user-specific data is collected by either Jerry’s Guitar Bar or any third party.
This information is stored on a secure dedicated server.
Jerry’s Guitar Bar uses the collected data for these purposes:
- To provide and maintain our service
- To notify you about changes to our service
- To allow you to participate in interactive features of our service when you choose to do so
- To provide customer support (for example if you lose a previous purchase, we have the data confirming that purchase and can resend it to you)
- To gather analysis to help us improve our service

- To provide you with a newsletter about about new lessons similar to those you have purchased before, unless you have unsubscribed from receiving such information.
We use a third party service, WordPress.org, to publish our products.
We use a standard WordPress service to collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the site, for example the number of users viewing pages on the site, to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site and help us improve it. This data doesn’t identify you as an individual.
If you post a comment on Jerry’s Guitar Bar, you have the option to include your name and email address or to post anonymously. If you include your name and email address, we only use this for the purpose of replying to your specific comment.
Jerry’s Guitar Bar will retain your personal data for an indefinite period. This is on order to have a full record of your purchases should you ever need them re-sent.
We will retain and use your personal data to the extent necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes and assist you with queries relating to previous purchases.
Jerry’s Guitar Bar will also retain usage data for internal analysis purposes. Usage data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except where this data is used to strengthen security or to improve the functionality of our service, or we are legally obligated to retain it.
Jerry’s Guitar Bar processes your data in servers located in the European Union.

Under certain circumstances, Jerry’s Guitar Bar may be required by law to disclose your personal data. If presented with a valid request by a public authority (e.g., a court or a government agency), we will comply with the request.

We will comply with this request, but please note that we would then be unable to fulfil any request relating to past purchases or transactions between us and you, as we will no longer have any data on them.

- To rectify any personal data held about you that is inaccurate
- To request the deletion of personal data held about you
You have the right to data portability for the information you provide to Jerry’s Guitar Bar. You can request it in a commonly used electronic format so that you can manage and move it.

We may employ third party companies and individuals to provide a service on our behalf, or to assist us in analysing how our service is used.
These third parties have access only to the personal data needed to perform their function, and may only use it to the extent of performing that function. An example is our newsletter which is distributed by a third party. They receive your email address and nothing more, and may only use it for the purpose of sending the Jerry’s Guitar Bar newsletter.
We use third-party Service Providers to monitor and analyse the use of our service.
Google analytics is a web analytics service that tracks and reports website traffic. Google uses the data to track and monitor the use of our service. This data is shared with other Google services. Google may use the collected data to contextualise and personalise the ads of its own advertising network.
We have requested that Google retain Analytics data related to our site visitors for 14 months from the date of the activity. This is the shortest period of time Google allows.
We provide paid products on Jerry’s Guitar Bar. We use third-party services for payment processing.
The payment processors we work with exclusively are Paypal and Stripe.
We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies or practices of any third party websites or their services.
Our service does not address anyone under the age of 13 (“Children”).
We do not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from anyone under the age of 13. If you are a parent or guardian and you are aware that your child has provided us with personal data, please contact us. If we become aware that we have unwittingly collected personal data from children without parental consent, we will take steps to remove that data from our servers.
